Welcome to my website!

Writing is magickal. As an author, there are three times I feel it most:

  1. When I am actively receiving and working with an idea and creating something.
  2. When I get to hand that work off to a reader or writing peer.
  3. When I hear that my work impacted the reader or writer in some way.

You being here means I get the chance to do a good bit of the second, and hopefully, some of the third if I did the first well.

For notifications of new posts, follow my site through WordPress. I’ll also be starting a newsletter in 2021 with exclusive content for those for those who have joined My Circle. You can subscribe through the submission form on the front page or sidebar.

Here is a quick tour of my current projects. You can reach the dedicated pages for each one through the drop down menu at the top of the webpage or by clicking on the red header titles below.

The Necromanteon

The Lost Daughter is my first novel and the first book in this epic Greek Mythology reimagining of the story of Hades and Persephone. I can’t give away the premise, but if you like the dark fantasy of Sherrilyn Kenyon, with alternative history of Dan Brown and Harry Turtledove, and the all-gods-walking of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, then this book is for you. This is not your childhood Percy Jackson series. It’s for those Greek Mythology fans out there (like me) who are no longer kids but still can’t get enough.

The novel is complete, all the beta-readers are raving and threatening to kill me if I don’t write book 2 soon, and I am in the process of deciding between querying and publishing it myself. Book 2 is in the planning stages, and soon, it’ll be time to dive back into the Underworld again.

The Witch Queen Project

Made of Magick. Born to Rule. That’s the motto of the Witch Queen Project. Named in honor of Hekate, this is my personal initiative dedicated to helping you discover, embrace, and wield your own unique magick from a place of authenticity and power.

My path has taught me that each of us is an avatar of the Divine. You were born with certain gifts and abilities, equipped to serve a purpose. Those innate talents and life experiences provide clues to your power, your path, and your purpose.

I have so much planned for the official Witch Queen launch in 2021: articles, journal exercises, beautiful merchandise to bring a little magick into your daily life, a podcast, free classes on my Discord channel, and more. Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter — you’ll hear it there first!

Hekate, Goddess of Magick

Hekate is more than a character for me. I have worked with and served her for more than 30 years in the Craft. In 2019, I had the opportunity to develop her as a character and write her story for an online magazine. The posts that you see in this section are as they appeared in that online publication.

Please follow her character account on Twitter, @HekateHerself. Scribing as the goddess, I regularly post about mythology, astrology, magick, dogs, ghosts, and the macabre, for Hekate rules all these things as the liminal goddess she is. Fair warning, I created her in her oldest form, so she is not the Crone aspect that men relegated her to in later years.

Elizabeth Bathory, The Blood Countess

This is my newest collaborative project where I will be writing as the immortal villainess Elizabeth Bathory. I created Erzi’s character for the legendary project The Myths of the DarknessAs part of MOTD, I will be writing Erzsi (as she is known) alongside other writers portraying notorious antagonists in history, legend, and folklore. I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity write such a complex and bloody beautiful character. And I look forward to sharing those posts with you as they drop. In the meantime, follow her character account on Twitter, @ReginaSanguina.

My Other Writings

Though most of my efforts recently have been focused on writing long fiction and planning out novel-length storylines, I write in a number of different mediums. Some of the short stories posted here have won awards and honorable mentions. When I can, I also enjoy writing poetry and music, which includes changing the words around to songs Weird Al style off the cuff (much to my daughter’s mortification). I’ve also dabbled in flash and micro-fiction.

I’ll be posting more of my short works here in addition to the short fiction pieces for Hekate and Bathory. These are a great place to start to familiarize yourself with my writing and my style. Readers are the reason I write, so allow me to entertain you.

Method and Muse

For two years, I’ve had the honor of hosting the Method and Muse podcast for writers-in-process. Teaching writing classes and workshops is something I love almost as much as I love writing. The podcast was a way of doing that on a weekly basis to inform and inspire other writers.

In the link for Method and Muse, you’ll find an embedded player and a link to all 72 episodes of the podcast with a short description about what we covered in each episode. While I will be announcing classes and workshops in the future, this is a great place to start enjoying and expanding your craft as a writer.

Thanks so much, Keisha! I’m hard at work on my series and plan to send the first off for query in August of this year. I really appreciate the support. It’s especially meaningful here early in my career. Stay in touch — I can’t wait to share more with you and the rest of the world.

Great to learn about you via Twitter. As a depth psychologist/writer, the numinous realm nourishes me, my practice and writing, Hekate a constant companion. I look forward to reading and keeping up with your works.

It’s a pleasure to meet you, Paul. I feel blessed that Twitter has allowed me to cross paths with so many who know Hekate and love her as I do. Any companion of my Lady is also mine. Many blessings, and stay in touch.

Talk to me!
